What We Do

Sex trafficking continues to be an unimaginable reality for many, and the exploitation of victims is hiding in plain sight. Traffickers rely on broken systems, isolation, and desperation to keep people trapped. The lack of safe housing, income, or support means that many survivors don’t leave, because there’s nowhere else to go.

That’s why our focus is on building what comes next,  and what makes freedom possible in the first place.

At The Hundred Movement, we work to ensure survivors aren’t left to navigate life alone. Without stable housing, trauma-informed care, job opportunities, or community support, many remain trapped or end up being retrafficked.

We build communities of care that make freedom possible — communities that offer survivors what they need to step away from exploitation and toward healing. That means creating real, accessible pathways to housing, trauma-informed counseling, job opportunities, and long-term support.

We partner with law enforcement, social services, healthcare providers, and local leaders to ensure no survivor has to walk alone.

And we don’t assume what survivors need; we listen. Our work is grounded in their lived experience, shaped by their insight, and focused on long-term healing and dignity.

This is how we make freedom sustainable and accessible.

Our Approach

Trauma-Informed Care

We recognize that the path to healing is complex and retraumatization is a real risk. Our work is grounded in the core principles of trauma-informed care: safety, trust, collaboration, empowerment, and cultural awareness. We create environments where survivors feel seen, heard, and respected, where healing can happen on their terms.

Survivor-Informed Approach

Survivors are at the center of everything we do. Their lived experience informs our programs, partnerships, and priorities. Rather than assuming what’s best, we co-create solutions with survivors to ensure that support is practical, relevant, and deeply respectful of their journey.

Human Rights

Sex trafficking is a violation of human rights, and ending it requires addressing the systemic inequalities that allow it to persist. We advocate for survivors to be treated with dignity, not criminalized or overlooked. Every survivor deserves access to justice, opportunity, and a future free from exploitation.

Public Health

We take a public health approach to sex trafficking, one that addresses root causes like poverty, housing insecurity, and lack of access to care. Instead of relying solely on law enforcement, we focus on prevention, harm reduction, and building strong, supportive systems that make freedom sustainable.

Free Counseling

Healing doesn’t happen overnight and no one should have to navigate it alone. The Hundred Movement provides specialized, trauma-informed therapy and case management for survivors of sex trafficking, completely free of charge. Our licensed mental health professionals understand the complex realities of trafficking and walk alongside survivors as they process trauma, rebuild trust, and move toward long-term stability.

Families for Survivors

No one should be left without a safe place to land. Our Families for Survivors program connects survivors with trained, compassionate community members who can offer short-term housing and support. Similar to a foster care model, but for adults, this program gives survivors the stability they need to rest, recover, and plan their next steps. If you’re interested in becoming a host family, we invite you to reach out and apply.

Education and Training

Understanding trafficking is the first step in preventing it and supporting those affected. The Hundred Movement offers dynamic, research-based training for organizations, professionals, and faith communities. Our sessions cover topics such as trauma-informed care, the mental health needs of survivors, the realities of sex trafficking, and how churches and communities can respond with compassion and accountability.
